Incremental Updates/Enhancements Agent

Requirements always change. When they do, this agent works out exactly what's affected and updates only that — so a small change stays a small change, instead of triggering an expensive rebuild.

What it does

Most of the cost of a data pipeline comes after it's built — every time a definition shifts, a source changes, or the business asks for something new. This agent makes those changes safe and cheap. It compares what changed against the last approved version, works out the ripple effect, and regenerates only the affected pieces — leaving everything else exactly as it was.

🛡️

Your manual edits are safe. If your team has hand-tuned any code, the agent recognises it, asks before touching it, and never silently overwrites your work.

How it works

  1. Spot what changedDetects updates from three sources: revised requirements, hand-edited code, and formal change-request documents.
  2. Separate signal from noiseDecides which changes are meaningful and which are cosmetic, so effort goes only where it matters.
  3. Map the ripple effectTraces which tables and outputs are affected by each change — the "blast radius."
  4. Get your approvalPresents a clear change plan and waits for sign-off before doing anything.
  5. Update only what's neededRegenerates just the affected pieces, then archives a new version for the record.

What it delivers

  • Automatic detection of changes from requirements, code edits, and change requests
  • A clear impact analysis showing exactly what a change affects
  • Targeted updates — only the affected tables are touched
  • A change plan you approve before anything is executed
  • Manual edits protected and never silently overwritten
  • A complete version history with snapshots you can roll back to
